How to Make Bootable Pendrive For Windows

 

USB is a much faster way to go if you want to install any Windows like 7/8/8.1/10/XP/Vista etc. from the scratch. In this post, I will show you in step by step guidance how to create and use the bootable USB flash drive to install any Windows from the very beginning.

Before we Begin

Note:Please make sure that your USB flash drive is with at least 6 GB of free storage and that there is no important data in it since all the data will be erased completely later. Be Patience as it can take more than 40 Mins. And this one is the easiest method to make bootable Pendrive. Let Get Started!

Follow the steps given below:

Step1: Download Rufus from this link-(https://bit.ly/2Uf9H0U). Rufus is the best Bootable USB Maker for free.

Step2: Download any Windows ISO File or disk image file from the link given here-(https://bit.ly/3aiclZl) Free. Now, I am taking windows 8.1 as an example.

Step3: Insert Pendrive or USB in your PC and Format it. After inserting USB, Run Rufus in your PC which you have downloaded in step1. It will ask for the permission for administrator. Click on Yes, and run it.

Step4: A Dialog Box will appear on your PC's screen, select your windows ISO file and then select GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer “ if you have a UEFI enabled Bios , otherwise select “ MBR partition scheme for BIOS and UEFI computer.

Step5: For file system select Fat 32 if your windows 8.1 ISO file size is below 4 GB else choose NTFS . For a UEFI bios it is compulsory to have a FAT32 file system .

Step6: Leave the cluster size at default and check the quick format option.

Step7: In Boot Selection option, select ISO File or Disk Image File.

Step8: Now click on start to create your bootable Windows USB flash drive . And wait for it. As it take sufficient time to make a bootable pendrive.

Note: You can also reuse your Pendrive or USB after booting it in your PC. Just Format it and use it Simple.
